Unfortunately, they all concluded that companionship and love were more important than whatever the hell they were studying (they no longer even remember) and entombed themselves in mystic wrappings. Upon being found, they emerge from their crypts more beautiful than they were in life; if they were homely, they are now comely, and if they were comely, they are now the stuff of legend.

Also, their wrappings are sticky, and they will hug the ever-loving hell out of the first attractive person they see, crying out proclamations of love in a long-dead language. And then not let go. Ever. Unless they decide to un-adhere themselves. Depending on how desperate the mummy, this may not be for a while.
